Meta's AI glasses lineup just got deeper — and for once, the Philippines is on the map. At Meta Connect 2026 on September 23, the company introduced Ray-Ban Meta Audio and a third-generation Ray-Ban Meta, alongside celebrity collaborations and limited editions. In the same announcement, Meta named the Philippines among the markets its glasses lineup will reach later in 2026. No Philippine price or exact date has been announced yet.

Ray-Ban Meta Gen 3: longer battery, sharper capture
The Gen 3 model keeps the 12 MP camera with 3K Ultra HD video but stretches battery life to up to 9 hours — one hour more than the previous generation, according to Gizmodo's coverage. A new six-microphone array cuts up to 90% of background noise, and a customizable action button gives instant access to Meta AI. The line spans 27 color and lens combinations across Wayfarer, Aviator, and the new cat-eye Zena styles. Dynamic Photos and Dolby Atmos video capture are promised later in 2026.
Ray-Ban Meta Audio drops the camera
The $349 (around ₱21,800) Ray-Ban Meta Audio is Meta's first camera-free pair — an answer to people who want the assistant and the audio without wearing a recording device. It weighs 43 grams, runs up to 12 hours on a charge (48 hours with the case), and comes in Clubmaster and Burbank styles with 23 color and lens combinations. Pre-orders opened on announcement day, with shipping from October 13.

A hearing-assistance feature for mild to moderate hearing loss is due later in 2026, tied to a $150-a-year (around ₱9,400) subscription or a Meta One plan. When can Filipinos actually buy one?
Meta's own announcement names the Philippines among the markets receiving its glasses later in 2026 — the first time the lineup has had a confirmed path here. AP's report likewise lists the Philippines alongside new markets such as Turkey and Hong Kong. What is still missing is everything a buyer needs: an official Philippine price, a launch date, and local retail or carrier channels. Until those land, imported units and gray-market listings are the only route, with no local warranty. Meta has been localizing its paid products here recently — it already priced its Meta One AI subscription tiers in pesos — so an official peso SRP for the glasses is worth watching for in the coming months.
