Clurky is an independent technology publication. We cover the smartphones, software, services, and startups that shape everyday digital life — with particular attention to how those shifts land in the Philippines and the wider Southeast Asian market, which global tech coverage routinely overlooks.

Every article on this site is written and edited in-house. We do not publish syndicated wire copy, sponsored posts dressed up as reporting, or guest submissions.

Who Runs Clurky

Clurky is written and published by Argal, a professional web developer based in Singapore and originally from the Philippines.

That background is the point of view the site is built on. Coming from engineering rather than press releases means reading a spec sheet critically, recognising when a feature announcement is genuinely new versus a rename of something shipped two years ago, and being able to explain why a change matters to the person actually using the device.

How We Cover Technology

The goal is to cut through marketing noise and analyse how industry shifts, software releases, and hardware trends actually affect the people who use them. In practice that means:

• Going to primary sources — official announcements, filings, and documentation — rather than aggregating other outlets
• Linking out to those sources so readers can verify claims independently
• Saying plainly when something is unconfirmed, rumoured, or based on a single report
• Prioritising local relevance: pricing, carrier availability, and rollout timing for Philippine readers
