Meta now wants a monthly fee from its heaviest users. On September 15, the company expanded Meta One, its subscription family across Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Meta AI, with new bundles for AI power users and paid plans for creators and businesses that run up to $499 (around ₱31,400) a month. In the Philippines, though, none of the new tiers is available: Filipino users still have only the entry-level Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus plans at ₱65 a month each.
Meta says the free experience is not going anywhere: "The core experience across our apps and Meta AI has always been free, and that's not changing." The subscriptions sell extra capacity on top — more AI generation, more creator tools, more business features. The company counts more than 50 features across the plans and says it has recorded 15 million subscriptions and trials to date.
Meta One pricing at a glance

| WhatsApp Plus | $2.99 | around ₱190 |
| Facebook Plus | $3.99 | around ₱250 |
| Instagram Plus | $3.99 | around ₱250 |
| Core bundle | $7.99 | around ₱500 |
| Premium bundle | $19.99 | around ₱1,260 |
| Essential (creator/business) | from $14.99 | around ₱940 |

Prices differ by market. TechNode Global's report on confirmed Singapore pricing puts the same lineup at S$1.99 to S$469 a month there — a reminder that Meta adjusts these numbers per country, the way it already did with the Philippines' ₱65 single-app plans.
What the AI bundles buy
The Core and Premium bundles fold in the three single-app plans and add larger allowances for Meta's AI tools: creating and editing images, generating video with the company's Muse models, and heavier use of in-app features such as Instagram's Restyle editor and voice effects. Meta has not published exact usage numbers — TechCrunch reports that limits vary by "country, surface and system conditions." Basic, everyday Meta AI use stays free.
The subscription push is also plainly a monetization play for the expensive AI infrastructure behind Muse. TechCrunch's reporting notes the new tiers follow Meta's 2025 investment in Scale AI, which brought Alexandr Wang in to lead its AI efforts.
Creator and business tiers
The four creator and business plans — Essential, Advanced, Expert, and Max — stack features by price: a verified badge with impersonation protections, Meta Business Agent for automated 24/7 customer responses, story scheduling up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and reels, exportable analytics and audience insights, team-member access, and WhatsApp business broadcast credits. The Expert and Max tiers raise the feature ceilings and agent capacity for larger operations.
Where the Philippines stands
Facebook Plus and Instagram Plus reached the Philippines on May 29, 2026 at ₱65 a month each with a one-month free trial — localized, far below the US $3.99 (around ₱250) rate. The bundles, the AI tiers, and the creator and business plans announced this week have no Philippine availability or pricing as of publication; Meta describes the rollout as gradual, and its help pages list the expanded tiers as available only in limited markets for now.
That gap will matter here eventually. Filipinos are among the world's most intensive users of Meta's apps, and a growing class of local sellers and creators run their livelihoods on Facebook and Instagram — the exact audience the Advanced tier's scheduling, analytics, and link features are priced for. Meta says Meta One will also extend to its Edits app and its AI glasses over time. For a sense of where Meta's paid AI ambitions point, its US-only Meta Muse personal AI agent shows the direction — and, like these tiers, the Philippines is still waiting on it.
