If you have been waiting to buy Meta's camera glasses from a local store, the cheapest pair will cost ₱34,149 when sales open on November 10. EssilorLuxottica and Meta have set Philippine suggested entry prices for four models, from the Oakley Meta HSTN at ₱34,149 to the Oakley Meta Vanguard at ₱42,661, according to the companies' joint launch announcement. The Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3), the newest Ray-Ban model, starts at ₱34,933.
This is the official arrival that was only a promise in September, when Meta put the Philippines on its expansion list for later in the year.

How the Gen 3's Philippine price compares with the US
Meta launched the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) in the US on September 23 at $449 (around ₱28,300). By our math, using a rate of about ₱63 to the US dollar, the local entry price of ₱34,933 is about ₱6,600 higher, or roughly 23% more.
Within the local lineup, the gaps are easier to read:
- The Oakley Meta HSTN costs ₱784 less than the Ray-Ban Gen 3.
- The Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2) costs ₱1,568 more than the Gen 3.
- The Oakley Meta Vanguard costs ₱7,728 more than the Gen 3.
Where to buy Ray-Ban Meta glasses from November 10
Ray-Ban Meta will be sold at authorized Ray-Ban dealers in select Vision Express, SM Department Store, Sunglass Gallery, Eye Society, Sunglass Haven and Ideal Vision Center branches. Oakley Meta will be sold at select Oakley stores, G-Force and Ideal Vision Center branches.
Ray-Ban is also opening a pop-up at SM Megamall, on the 2nd floor of Building B (Fashion Hall), from November 10, with a free Ray-Ban Meta tote bag for each purchase there, according to the Gen 3 launch release. Because only select branches carry the glasses, call your nearest store before you go.
What Meta AI can do on the glasses here
The Philippine launch adds Meta AI in Tagalog, so you can give prompts and commands in Filipino. The announcement lists these features for local buyers:
- asking questions about what you are looking at;
- live translation of conversations;
- hands-free calls, messages, music and podcasts;
- photos and video taken from your point of view, without holding a phone.
In September, Meta also said its Muse AI agent was coming to its glasses. The Philippine announcement does not mention Muse, so don't expect it on day one.
Which model fits which buyer
- You want everyday sunglasses with a camera: the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3). Meta says its battery lasts up to nine hours, an hour more than the Gen 2.
- You wear prescription glasses: the Ray-Ban Meta Optics (Gen 2) frames, Blayzer and Scriber, are aimed at you.
- You run or cycle: the Oakley Meta Vanguard has the toughest rating (IP67) and links with Strava and Garmin, but it is the most expensive.
- You want the lowest price: the Oakley Meta HSTN is the cheapest way in, with a lighter IPX4 splash rating.
Camera glasses and the people around you
All four models record photos and video from the wearer's point of view. Meta has already acted against misuse: it banned Instagram accounts that filmed strangers with Ray-Ban smart glasses. If you buy a pair, ask before you record people in shops, offices or classrooms.
