What the Sketch Reveals
Nothing kept the teaser intentionally sparse, but the sketch communicates a few things clearly:
- Single rear camera: The sketched device shows one lens, a notable step down from the dual-camera setup on the Phone 3a and 3a Pro. A single camera strongly signals budget positioning and simplified hardware.

Why the Phone (4b) Exists — The CMF Cancellation
Context makes the Phone (4b) easier to understand. Nothing recently confirmed it would not release a new CMF Phone this year, canceling the intended CMF Phone 2 Pro successor. The Phone (4b) is positioned below the Phone (4a) series in Nothing's lineup — itself an affordable mid-ranger. No official specs, pricing, or release date have been confirmed. The single-camera hardware and stated budget intent suggest a target well below the Phone 4a's price point, likely under Rs. 20,000 (~$240) in India.
