The vivo X500 series went official in China on September 21, debuting MediaTek's new flagship Dimensity 9600 Pro chipset in its two Pro models and topping out with an 8,000mAh battery and a 200MP periscope telephoto on the X500 Pro Max. Prices start at CNY 5,499 (around ₱51,600) for the standard X500, GSMArena reported.
Pre-sales opened on launch day, with open sales in China starting September 24. No global rollout — the Philippines included — has been announced yet.

All peso figures are approximate conversions; vivo has set no Philippine prices. Each range runs from a 12GB/256GB base configuration up to 1TB of storage, with the Pro Max's top price attached to its 16GB/1TB Creator's Package. The Pro models pair the chipset with LPDDR5X RAM in 12GB and 16GB options.
All three phones carry IP68 and IP69 ratings (dust-tight, protected against immersion and high-pressure hot water jets). The Pro models' LTPO panels — screens that can drop their refresh rate as low as 1Hz to save power — reach a claimed 4,500-nit peak brightness, while the standard X500's 6.59-inch AMOLED tops out at a still-bright 4,000 nits.
Cameras: the Pro Max gets the 200MP zoom
The X500 Pro Max leads the lineup with a 50MP main camera built on Sony's LYTIA L910 sensor with an f/1.57 aperture, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto for long-range zoom. FoneArena lists the main sensor at a large 1/1.28-inch size and the front camera at 50MP. The X500 Pro keeps the same main and ultrawide pairing but steps down to a lower-resolution telephoto than the Pro Max's 200MP unit.
The ultrawide is a 50MP f/2.0 unit, and the selfie camera is also 50MP at f/2.0, so every camera on the Pro models shoots at 50MP or higher. Video is a clear focus: both Pro models support 4K slow-motion recording at 240fps, and the Pro Max adds 8K recording at 30fps.
The battery math
The Pro Max's 8,000mAh cell is the headline spec for heavy users — it is among the largest fitted to a mainstream flagship this year, and vivo pairs it with 90W wired and 40W wireless charging across the range. The Pro's 6,510mAh unit is smaller but still large for a 6.36-inch phone.
Will it reach the Philippines?
vivo has not announced Philippine availability or pricing for the X500 series, and GSMArena notes no global launch has been scheduled yet. The series has been on the local radar since its design reveal ahead of the September 21 launch, and vivo's X-series flagships have typically followed China debuts with international versions — but until an official announcement lands, the China pricing above is the only real reference point. If the phones do cross over, expect Philippine SRPs to sit above the straight conversions, as import pricing usually does.
