The vivo V80 is official. vivo launched its new V-series camera phone in India on October 6, pairing a 7,200mAh battery with a ZEISS-tuned triple camera and a slim 7.79mm body. Pricing starts at ₹62,999 (around ₱40,300), and there is no word yet on a Philippine release.

OIS stands for optical image stabilization, the mechanism that physically steadies the camera to reduce blur. The IP68 and IP69 ratings mean the phone is sealed against dust and can survive submersion in water as well as high-pressure jets.
A ZEISS triple camera with 3x optical zoom
The camera system is the V80's main pitch. Three of the four cameras sit at 50MP: the main camera, the telephoto, and the selfie shooter, which also gets autofocus, a feature most phones still skip on the front. The main sensor is Sony's LYT-700V with OIS, while the 50MP IMX882 periscope handles 3x optical zoom, also stabilized. An 8MP ultrawide rounds out the set, and video tops out at 4K 60fps across the system, according to GSMArena's launch coverage.
The other headline is stamina. The 7,200mAh cell is unusually large for a phone this thin at 210g, and 90W wired charging should keep top-ups short. The 6.59-inch panel is compact by 2026 standards, runs at up to 144Hz, and claims a 5,000-nit local peak for outdoor visibility.
vivo V80 price in India
- 8GB + 128GB: ₹62,999 (around ₱40,300)
- 8GB + 256GB: ₹69,999 (around ₱44,700)
- 8GB + 512GB: ₹79,999 (around ₱51,100)
Colors at launch are Horizon Blue, Stellar Black, and Sunrise Anthem. No official sale date was listed at announcement time.
The rest of the sheet is current-generation: an in-display fingerprint scanner, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC for contactless payments, and eSIM support alongside the physical SIM, so the phone is not cutting corners on connectivity to pay for the battery.
Is the vivo V80 coming to the Philippines?
vivo has not announced Philippine availability or pricing for the V80, so there is no local SRP to report yet. The closest local reference point is the vivo V80 Lite, which reached the Philippines in early October with an early listing of ₱24,999. The India pricing converts to roughly ₱40,300 to ₱51,100, which would position the V80 well above the Lite and against upper-midrange camera phones if it lands here at a similar level.
Worth noting for anyone tempted to import: converted prices rarely match official local SRPs, which fold in local taxes and promos, and an India-market unit would carry different warranty coverage and LTE/5G band tuning than an official Philippine release. If the V80 follows the usual V-series pattern, an official local announcement is the thing to wait for, and we will report the Philippine price if and when vivo confirms one.
