The vivo V80 costs ₱42,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₱47,999 for 8GB/256GB in the Philippines, which is ₱12,000 more than vivo's own store now charges for an 8GB/256GB vivo V70. The vivo Philippines online store lists both V80 versions in Starwish Purple and Wander Green, and takes pre-orders with a ₱2,000 discount. Before you pay the extra, check what the V80 adds over the V70, and what it gives up.
vivo V80 Philippine price and pre-order deal
These are the official prices, with the pre-order discount applied by our math:
| vivo V80 version | Official PH price | With ₱2,000 pre-order discount |
|---|---|---|
| 8GB + 128GB | ₱42,999 | ₱40,999 |
| 8GB + 256GB | ₱47,999 | ₱45,999 |
According to the Daily Tribune's report on the pre-order, the pre-order runs until November 13 at vivo stores nationwide, the vivo e-store and the vivo Store app. Pre-order buyers also get:
- limited-edition vivo Buds Air3 earbuds, which vivo values at ₱1,799;
- six months of broken-screen insurance and warranty;
- six months of 100GB Google One storage for new users;
- Gold vivo membership privileges.
One catch: the e-store page says its regular pre-orders do not qualify for the separate "vivo V80 Lights Up Christmas" fan event.
Paying in installments: what ₱85 a day adds up to
The same report says Home Credit offers the V80 for "as low as" ₱85 a day over 18 months, plus a ₱500 voucher with the code V80HC500. By our math, ₱85 × 30 days is about ₱2,550 a month, and ₱2,550 × 18 months is about ₱45,900. That is roughly ₱4,900 more than the ₱40,999 pre-order cash price of the 128GB model. Home Credit sets the actual down payment, rate and term per buyer, so treat this only as a rough guide and ask for the full computation before you sign. Our check of Home Credit's iPhone 18 Pro plan shows how a per-day figure can hide the total cost.
vivo V80 vs vivo V70: same chip, different trade-offs
Both phones use the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip (4nm), the same 6.59-inch AMOLED screen size and resolution, the same 90W charging and the same IP68 and IP69 water and dust ratings. The figures below come from vivo Philippines' spec pages for the V80 and the V70, and the prices from vivo's own store.
| vivo V80 | vivo V70 | |
|---|---|---|
| Price, 8GB/256GB (vivo store) | ₱47,999 | ₱35,999 |
| Battery | 7,200mAh | 6,500mAh |
| Screen refresh rate | up to 144Hz | up to 120Hz |
| RAM type | LPDDR4X | LPDDR5X |
| Storage type | UFS 3.1 | UFS 4.1 |
| Weight | 203g to 206g | 194g |
What the V80 adds:
- About 11% more battery. The jump from 6,500mAh to 7,200mAh is 700mAh more.
- A smoother screen. 144Hz refreshes the image more often than 120Hz, so scrolling and supported games can look smoother.
What it gives up, on vivo's own spec sheets:
- Older memory. LPDDR4X is an older generation of phone RAM than the V70's LPDDR5X.
- Slower storage. UFS 3.1 is an older storage standard than UFS 4.1, so it typically reads and writes data more slowly, for example when you copy large videos or install big games.
- More weight. It is 9g to 12g heavier.
There is one discrepancy to note. vivo Philippines lists UFS 3.1 for both local versions. GSMArena's report on the global launch says only the 128GB model uses UFS 3.1 and the 256GB and 512GB models use UFS 4.1. If storage speed matters to you, ask the store to confirm before you pay for the 256GB model.
Which vivo should you buy?
The V80 makes the most sense for a buyer who wants a bigger battery than the V70's and a 144Hz screen, and who will use the pre-order discount and freebies. If you mainly want the same chip and cameras for less money, the V70 at ₱35,999 has faster memory and storage on paper and costs ₱10,000 less than the 256GB V80 even after the pre-order discount.
On a tighter budget, the vivo V80 Lite is listed at ₱24,999 for 6GB/128GB on vivo's store, with a 10,000mAh battery. And if you are thinking of buying a used V70 instead, run through our checks before you buy a secondhand phone.
