If you have ₱6,999 to spend on a phone, the new HONOR Play 10 gets you a 5,000mAh battery, a 6.74-inch 90Hz screen and 64GB of storage. The same amount also buys the realme Note 80, which has a bigger battery and more memory. This guide puts the two side by side so you can pick.
The HONOR Play 10 is now on sale in the Philippines at a ₱6,999 SRP, according to launch reports from JAM Online on October 22 and Technobaboy on October 23. The phone already has a product page on HONOR Philippines, which links to HONOR's official Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop stores. The listing is not brand new: PinoyTechnoGuide logged the same ₱6,999 official price in late September.
HONOR Play 10 price and where to buy in the Philippines
- 3GB RAM + 64GB storage: ₱6,999 SRP (JAM Online)
- 4GB RAM + 128GB storage: mentioned in launch coverage, but none of the reports we read gave it a confirmed price, and HONOR's Philippine page lists only the 3GB + 64GB model
- Colors: Midnight Black and Ocean Cyan
- Where: HONOR experience stores and authorized dealers, plus HONOR's official stores on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. Technobaboy reported that Globe Telecom stores carry it too.
No launch freebies or promo bundles were mentioned in either launch report.
HONOR Play 10 specs explained
HONOR's own page confirms the headline hardware: a MediaTek Helio G81 octa-core chip, a 6.74-inch 90Hz display, a 5,000mAh battery (4,900mAh rated), 3GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a 13MP rear camera and a card slot that takes microSD cards up to 1TB.
The fuller spec sheet from PinoyTechnoGuide fills in the rest:
- Screen: HD+ (720 x 1600) LCD. That is sharp enough for social media and video, but not as crisp as the Full HD screens on pricier phones.
- Chip: Helio G81, built on a 12nm process, with two faster Cortex-A75 cores and six efficient Cortex-A55 cores.
- Software: Android 15 Go Edition. Go Edition is a lighter version of Android made for phones with little memory. It uses smaller apps so a 3GB phone runs more smoothly.
- Cameras: 13MP rear with autofocus, 5MP front. Both record up to 1080p video.
- Charging: 10W over USB-C.
- Extras: 3.5mm headphone jack, FM radio, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and dual-band Wi-Fi. There is no NFC, so tap-to-pay with your phone is not possible.
- Body: 8.55mm thick, about 189 grams.
One outlet listed a Unisoc chip instead of the Helio G81. We went with the Helio G81 because HONOR's own Philippine page names it.
HONOR Play 10 vs realme Note 80: the ₱6,999 matchup
realme Philippines lists the Note 80 at the exact same price, ₱6,999, marked as an online-channel-only price on realme's Philippine website. Here is how they compare, using each maker's figures:
| HONOR Play 10 | realme Note 80 |
|---|
| Price (PH) | ₱6,999 SRP | ₱6,999 (online only) |
| RAM + storage | 3GB + 64GB | 4GB + 64GB |
| Chip | MediaTek Helio G81 | Unisoc T7250 |
| Screen | 6.74-inch HD+, 90Hz | 6.74-inch HD+, 90Hz |
| Battery | 5,000mAh | 6,300mAh |
| Charging | 10W | 15W |
| Rear camera | 13MP | 8MP |
| Software | Android 15 Go Edition | realme UI on Android 15 |
| Dust and water | Not stated | IP54 |
The Note 80 figures come from realme's official spec sheet, which also lists a 7.94mm-thin body.
Battery and charging time, by our math
realme rates the Note 80's 6,300mAh battery at 24.45Wh, which works out to about 3.88 volts. Applying that same voltage to the HONOR Play 10's 5,000mAh battery gives roughly 19.4Wh.
- HONOR Play 10: 19.4Wh / 10W = about 1.9 hours at minimum to charge from empty.
- realme Note 80: 24.45Wh / 15W = about 1.6 hours at minimum.
This is a calculation from the makers' figures, not a test. Real charging is slower, because phones slow down charging as the battery fills. Still, the gap is clear: the Note 80 holds about 26% more energy and refills faster.
Which ₱6,999 phone should you buy?
The numbers favor the realme Note 80 for most buyers. It has 1GB more RAM, a larger battery, faster charging and an IP54 rating against dust and splashes, all at the same price.
The HONOR Play 10 still makes sense in a few cases:
- You want a better main camera on paper. It has a 13MP rear camera against the Note 80's 8MP.
- You prefer to buy in a store. realme's ₱6,999 price applies online only. The HONOR is sold at HONOR stores and dealers, and at Globe stores per Technobaboy's report.
- You want a simple phone for a parent or a child. Android Go and its lighter apps suit basic use: calls, messaging, Facebook and YouTube.
If you play games or keep many apps open, 3GB of RAM will feel tight on either list. Phone prices are also climbing this year as memory costs push laptop and phone prices up, so a sub-₱7,000 phone now buys less than it did a year ago. Moving up to the Redmi 17 at its ₱11,999 early-bird price gets you a big step up in memory and performance.
