Sending money from GCash to a bank account costs ₱10 per transfer, and one transfer can carry up to ₱50,000, according to GCash's own fee schedule, updated September 10, 2026. Below are the official steps, what the fee works out to, and what to do when a transfer does not arrive.
How much does a GCash to bank transfer cost?
GCash lists the bank transfer fee as "PHP 10 per transaction, max of Php 50,000 per transaction via Instapay. No minimum amount required." InstaPay is the real-time transfer network that links Philippine banks and e-wallets. The central bank's own record agrees: the BSP's Summary of Transfer Fees via Digital Channels, as of September 30, 2026, lists G-Xchange, Inc. (the company that runs GCash) at ₱10 for an individual's InstaPay transfer.
The same BSP table marks GCash's PESONet option as "service not available". PESONet is the other bank-transfer network, used for larger batch transfers. So every GCash-to-bank transfer you make goes through InstaPay at ₱10.
The person you send to should get the full amount. The BSP's InstaPay FAQ says there is no fee for receiving funds via InstaPay.
What the ₱10 fee means in practice (our math, from GCash's published fee):
- Sending ₱1,000 costs ₱10, which is 1% of the amount.
- Sending ₱20,000 costs ₱10, which is 0.05% of the amount.
- Sending ₱120,000 takes three transfers (₱50,000 + ₱50,000 + ₱20,000), so ₱30 in fees.
A flat fee hurts most on small amounts. If you move money to your bank often, one larger transfer costs less than several small ones.
How to transfer GCash to a bank account, step by step
These are the steps on GCash's Bank Transfer page:
- Open the GCash app and tap Transfer on the dashboard.
- Select a saved bank account, or choose a bank from the list of partner banks.
- Enter the required information and tap Send Money.
- Review the details and tap Confirm.
- View, download or share your receipt. GCash also sends a confirmation by email.
GCash says it can send to "over 70" partner banks. At minimum, the BSP says an InstaPay sender needs the receiving bank or e-wallet, the receiver's account number and the amount. Have the account number ready before you start.
Two features on the same page save time if you send to the same account often:
- Saved bank accounts. Save an account once and pick it in step 2 next time.
- Scheduled transfers. GCash lets you set automatic schedules for transfers, which suits a fixed monthly amount such as rent or savings.
Paano mag transfer ng GCash to bank account?
It uses the same five steps. Tap Transfer, pick the bank, enter the details, tap Send Money, then Confirm. Expect a ₱10 fee per transfer and a ₱50,000 maximum per transaction.
Sending to a bank using its QR code
If the receiving account has a bank QR code, you can skip typing the account number. GCash's steps for Transfer via QR are:
- Open the GCash app and tap the QR icon on the dashboard.
- Scan the bank's QR code.
- Enter the required information and tap Send Money.
- Review the details and tap Confirm.
- View, download or share your receipt.
Scanning removes the risk of mistyping a long account number. For how the national QR standard works across banks and e-wallets, see our QR Ph guide.
Can you transfer GCash to a bank without a fee?
Not through the bank transfer feature. GCash's fee page lists the ₱10 bank transfer fee with no free monthly allowance. That is unlike GCash-to-GCash Send Money, which the same page lists as free for the first 500 sends and 500 receives per month. The BSP table also carries no free-transfer note for GCash, though it does show one for some other providers.
A bank transfer is still usually the cheapest way to get a large amount out of GCash. Here is the cost of moving ₱5,000, using the fees GCash publishes:
| Way to move ₱5,000 out of GCash | Fee GCash lists | Cost on ₱5,000 |
|---|---|---|
| Bank Transfer (InstaPay) | ₱10 per transaction | ₱10 |
| Offline cash out, RCBC Scan to Withdraw | ₱18 per transaction | ₱18 |
| Offline cash out, other partners | 2% of the amount | ₱100 |
By our math, the 2% partner cash-out costs ten times the bank transfer on ₱5,000. Your bank may charge its own fees for withdrawing the money later, so check those with your bank.
How GCash's fee compares with other e-wallets
The BSP fee summary lists the InstaPay sending fee each e-wallet charges individuals, as of September 30, 2026:
| E-wallet (company in the BSP table) | InstaPay fee per transfer |
|---|---|
| GCash (G-Xchange, Inc.) | ₱10 |
| Maya (Maya Philippines, Inc.) | ₱10 |
| GrabPay (Gpay Network PH, Inc.) | ₱10 |
| PalawanPay (PPS-PEPP Financial Services Corp.) | ₱5 |
| TayoCash | ₱12 |
GCash is in line with the other large wallets. If you also keep money in Maya, our Maya to bank guide covers its steps and options.
How fast does it arrive, and what if it doesn't?
The BSP describes InstaPay as a real-time transfer scheme for amounts up to ₱50,000. Its 2026 FAQ on InstaPay for Business notes that InstaPay runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. A transfer made at night or on a holiday should still reach the bank right away.
Check the details before you tap Confirm. The BSP's InstaPay FAQ says funds are credited "almost immediately and with finality". If you sent money to the wrong account, tell your bank or e-wallet as soon as possible.
If the money has not arrived or you sent it to the wrong account:
- Contact GCash first. Use the GCash Help Center, or call 2882 from Globe or TM, or (02) 7213-9999 from other networks (fees may apply). These numbers are listed on GCash's Bank Transfer page. Keep your receipt and reference number.
- Escalate to the BSP if GCash does not resolve it. The BSP's complaint guide says to chat with the BSP Online Buddy (BOB) on the BSP website or the BSP Facebook page until you get a reference number. If you cannot use BOB, email a Complaint/Inquiry/Reply form to consumeraffairs@bsp.gov.ph with proof that you complained to GCash first.
- Report a scam to law enforcement. If someone tricked you into sending the money, the same BSP guide points victims to the PNP, the NBI or the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), which has the 1326 hotline. Our guide on reporting a scam in the Philippines lists every channel.
Do not hand over your PIN or password while chasing a refund. The BSP's complaint guide warns against sharing them and says the BSP does not need them to process a complaint.
Sending more than ₱50,000
Because GCash offers only InstaPay, which caps each transaction at ₱50,000, a larger amount has to go in several transfers at ₱10 each. The BSP FAQ says InstaPay allows transfers of up to ₱50,000 per transaction "as many times during the day". It adds that your bank or e-wallet may set its own daily limit, so check yours in the app before a large transfer.
