The phone starts at ₱46,990 and is already on shelves at Samsung Experience Stores nationwide, with online availability on Samsung.com to follow by September 11, GadgetPilipinas reported.

The S26 FE runs Samsung's own Exynos 2500, a chip built on a 3-nanometer process (a newer, more power-efficient way of manufacturing chips), paired with 8GB of RAM. The display is a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, FHD+ resolution (2,340 x 1,080), and up to 1,900 nits of peak brightness for outdoor use.

Should you buy it?
At its discounted launch price of ₱42,990, the S26 FE undercuts most flagships while keeping the parts that matter day to day: a bright 120Hz screen, an optically stabilized main camera, and the longest update runway in its bracket. The trade-offs are real but predictable — an Exynos chip instead of the Snapdragon parts rivals use, 45W charging that is slower than Chinese competitors at this price, and a telephoto that stops at 3x. When Samsung confirmed the August 27 Galaxy event, the open question was pricing — and at launch-promo prices, the value case is stronger than the FE line has managed in years. If you are choosing between this and a hand-me-down flagship in the ₱40,000 to ₱55,000 range, the seven-year update pledge is the tiebreaker: a phone supported until 2033 changes the resale and longevity math in a market where most mid-range devices get two or three years of updates at best.
