Dune: Awakening is out on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S today, September 22, fifteen months after its PC debut. The console release ships with Update 1.5, which adds a full single-player mode, wide gameplay customisation and the final chapter of the game's Book One story on every platform, according to Funcom's announcement. On the Philippine PlayStation Store, which prices in US dollars, the Standard Edition is listed at $49.99 (around ₱3,100).
What Update 1.5 adds on every platform
The headline change is that the open-world survival game no longer requires other players. Funcom's single-player mode includes the entire Arrakis map and all storylines, with either preset difficulty levels or detailed manual settings. Players can adjust:
- sandstorm frequency, and which zones are PvE (player versus environment) or PvP (player versus player)
- harvesting multipliers and experience (XP) rates
- building limits, item durability, base decay and land-claim maximums
The update also closes out the story. "The Great Convention Part III" is the final chapter of Book One, and Funcom says the campaign can now be played from start to finish in one run. New content includes six Imperial Testing Stations with their own boss fights, seven new locations such as Smuggler's Run and Blushing Caverns, two new weapons (the Pyrocket and Dual Blades), a reworked Rapier, and new Specializations and Augmentations systems for customising gear. A new survival map, the Polar Cap, is promised later this year as a free update.
How it runs on PS5 and Xbox
Bandai Namco Europe, which handles the physical PS5 edition in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, lists two graphics modes on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X:

The console build is version 1.5.3.0, and Funcom's console release patch notes describe full D-pad support, haptics and rumble tweaks, expanded aim-assist settings, and controller-focused menu changes. Funcom's Chief Product Officer Scott Junior called it "undoubtedly the best version yet of Dune: Awakening."
Deluxe and Ultimate Edition buyers have had Head Start access since September 17. RPG Site notes that the PC version peaked at around 189,000 concurrent Steam players at its June 2025 launch, which is the audience the console release is now joining.
Editions and Philippine PlayStation Store prices
The Philippine PS Store lists the game as PS5 Pro Enhanced, with pre-order bonuses of a "Terrarium of Muad'Dib" base decoration and a Sunset Dye swatch.

A physical PS5 edition is handled by Bandai Namco in Europe, Australia and New Zealand, Solutions 2 GO in the Americas, and Spike Chunsoft in Japan, where the game arrives on October 29. No Philippine physical distributor has been announced.
Game Pass, Play Anywhere and a Steam discount
- The game is on Xbox Game Pass from day one, with Xbox Play Anywhere support so progress carries between Xbox console, PC and cloud.
- Game Pass members get 20% off the Deluxe and Ultimate editions.
- On Steam, the PC version is 50% off until October 8.
Game Pass is sold in the Philippines: PC Game Pass costs ₱225 a month after a May 2026 price cut, while Game Pass Ultimate, which covers console, PC and cloud, is priced at $22.99 (around ₱1,400) a month. For a Filipino Xbox owner, a single month of Ultimate is the cheapest way to try the game before paying the $49.99 (around ₱3,100) list price.
Servers for players in Asia
Funcom's console server list includes Asia-region servers for both consoles: "Iduali" and "Burhan" for PlayStation and "Haraq al-Ada" for Xbox, alongside Oceania servers. Funcom does not name the physical location of its Asia servers, so Philippine players should expect to test latency themselves. There is no cross-play between PC and consoles at launch; Funcom says it is coming after launch without a date.
