Grand Theft Auto VI is the cover of Game Informer's next issue. The magazine revealed the cover on September 25: a 14-page story built on exclusive interviews with Rockstar Games and 12 screenshots that have not been shown before. The digital issue goes live on September 29, less than two months before GTA 6 launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on November 19.
For a game that has shown very little since its second trailer, this is the largest single drop of new material so far. Here is what the issue covers, what it means for the launch, and where Filipino buyers stand on price.
What the 14-page GTA 6 cover story includes
Game Informer says the story is issue 382 of the magazine, and it lists these contents:
- 12 exclusive screenshots, plus original cover artwork supplied by Rockstar.
- Interviews with several lead designers at Rockstar on how the studio built Leonida, the fictional state modelled on Florida, and its return to Vice City.
- Weather systems that simulate Florida's less sunny side, not just clear skies.
- Wildlife simulation covering native and non-native species on land, in the air and at sea.
- Research trips to Miami and Florida, and how that fieldwork shaped the look and culture of the world.
GamingBolt's write-up adds that the interviews also touch on music and how the game's dynamic score works. The two playable leads remain Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos.
Game Informer describes the game in strong terms, calling it the biggest release of the year and possibly of all time. That is the magazine's view, not a sales figure. What is confirmed is the scope of access: a full-length feature with Rockstar's own developers on the record, which the studio rarely grants.
Release date, platforms and what a pre-order gets you
Rockstar's own Newswire confirms the November 19, 2026 date. The game is a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S title only. PlayStation's Philippine product page states it will not be available on PlayStation 4, that it is PS5 Pro Enhanced, and that it is a single-player experience.
Pre-orders are open on the PlayStation Store. Buying before November 19 adds:
- The Vintage Vice City Pack.
- One month of GTA+, Rockstar's subscription service. The store terms say it auto-renews after the free month unless cancelled, and it must be redeemed by March 31, 2027.
- A seven-day pre-load window.
GTA 6 price in dollars, Singapore dollars and pesos
Rockstar set the official prices when pre-orders opened on June 25. GMA News reported the Standard Edition at $80 and the Ultimate Edition at $100. The same report noted that physical boxes contain a download code rather than a disc with the game data on it.
The regional Asian PlayStation Store listing, which the Singapore storefront displays, prices the two editions as follows:

Peso figures are conversions at current rates, not official Philippine prices. The Ultimate Edition adds an in-game upgrade pack that Rockstar describes as premium vehicles, weapons and apparel spread across the story, including a '95 Grotti Cheetah sports car.
What Filipino buyers can do today
There is no official peso price yet. PlayStation's Philippine page shows the game as available for pre-order but does not display a local price, and the Singapore listing above is the closest regional reference.
Local retail is taking reservations anyway. DataBlitz lists a ₱500 pre-order downpayment for the PS5 Standard Edition, with the full price marked "TBA" and the November 19 date labelled tentative. The listing is for a code-in-box Asian version and states region locking to Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand, so check that the code will redeem on your account before paying. Too Much Gaming, a Philippine outlet, notes that both DataBlitz and Game One usually ask for a ₱500 downpayment on reservations, and that this could rise with demand.

When you can read it
The digital edition of issue 382 is available on Tuesday, September 29. Print copies are shipping to subscribers now and will reach newsstands in the coming weeks, with Game Informer describing supply as limited. Expect the screenshots and interview details to be widely re-reported once the embargo on the digital issue lifts.
