The 10,000mAh phone has stopped being a concept and started being a mid-ranger you can buy in Southeast Asia. vivo launched the V80 Lite 5G in Malaysia on September 4, and its defining spec is a 10,000mAh battery — the largest vivo has ever shipped in the V series — per SoyaCincau's launch report.
The battery is the whole story
vivo calls it a BlueVolt battery, built on fourth-generation silicon-anode chemistry — the same materials shift that is letting phone makers push past the old 5,000mAh ceiling without doubling a phone's thickness. vivo rates it to keep at least 80% of its capacity after 1,400 charge cycles, roughly four years of daily charging. The company also picked up a Guinness World Record for the longest electronic-product testing livestream at 32 hours and 37 minutes, running the phone continuously on camera.
Silicon-anode (often marketed as silicon-carbon) batteries swap part of the graphite in a conventional lithium-ion cell for silicon, which stores more energy in the same space. That is the chemistry letting 2026's mid-rangers carry capacities that used to belong to power banks.
Charging is 44W wired via FlashCharge, with the charger included in the box, and the phone can reverse-charge other devices over USB-C. vivo's own endurance claims: 30 hours of video playback, 64 hours of talk time, and 14 hours of gaming on a full charge.

Hitech Century notes that pre-orders also bundle gifts worth about RM1,145 (around ₱17,700), including a smart projector. The phone is sold through vivo's Malaysian e-store, Lazada, Shopee, and vivo concept stores, and a software update scheduled for September 24 will add extended-RAM support.
Will it reach the Philippines?
vivo has not announced Philippine availability for the V80 Lite 5G, and no local pricing exists yet — worth stating plainly, since a Malaysian launch does not guarantee a Manila one. But the direction of the market here is unmistakable. The Redmi Note 17 Pro Max arrives in the Philippines on September 15 with its own 10,000mAh battery, and OPPO's A7 Pro Max shipped the same capacity earlier this year. Silicon-anode batteries have turned 10,000mAh into the new bragging number for mid-range phones in this region — and vivo selling one next door in Malaysia makes a Philippine follow-up the obvious move to watch for.
