MannyPay Denies Shutdown: New App Due as Old App Ends November 10

MannyPay denies it is closing and promises a new app in November, but the current app still stops on November 10 and leftover balances move to Traxion Pay.

If you keep money in MannyPay, this week's conflicting headlines change nothing about your deadline: the app on your phone stops working after November 10, 2026, and any balance still inside will be converted to a Traxion Pay account. What changed on October 16 is the company's framing — MannyPay now says it is not shutting down at all.

What MannyPay actually said on October 16

Manny Pay's operator denied that the service is closing and said a new version of its app will launch next month, Newsbytes.PH reported. In its statement, the company said it is onboarding more partners to improve the capacity and reliability of its payment services, and that the transition "will not affect users' accounts or transactions."

Technobaboy's report adds that the company has rewritten the advisory that started the confusion, clarifying that only the old app is closing. Support for the current app stays open until November 10; after that date, account concerns go to Traxion Pay. (One detail the outlets do not agree on: Technobaboy quotes the statement as continuing the legacy of the company's "former chairman" Manny Pacquiao, while Newsbytes.PH and GizGuide both describe operator 7th Pillar Integrated System Corp. as a company Pacquiao chairs.)

How the shutdown story started

The denial answers reports from two days earlier. On October 14, GizGuide reported that an advisory inside the app told users the service would stop operating on November 10 — about a year after its November 1, 2025 launch — and asked them to withdraw any remaining balances. The app's Google Play listing shows more than 500,000 downloads, though the company has never released figures on active accounts or transactions.

MannyPay is run by 7th Pillar Integrated System Corp., which received an Operator of Payment System registration from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in April 2026, per Newsbytes.PH. The wallet has run on technology from Traxion since launch — a Philippine fintech led by CEO Ann Cuisia that BitPinas described in March as MannyPay's "tech backbone."

Your two options before November 10

Whatever the new app turns out to be, the money question is immediate. We covered the mechanics of the conversion when the advisory first surfaced — see our earlier guide on what to do before MannyPay balances move to Traxion Pay. In short, you can:

  • Withdraw before November 10. This is what the original in-app advisory told users to do, per GizGuide. It is the cautious option: your money lands back in your bank account or cash-out channel on your own schedule.
  • Let it convert. The company says remaining balances will be converted to Traxion Pay accounts automatically, so you keep access to your money, and Traxion Pay will handle any account concerns after November 10.

One catch, per Newsbytes.PH: users who want services offered directly by MannyPay in the future may need to register separately on the new platform. A converted balance does not automatically make you a user of the new app.

What we know about the new app

MannyPay's own website now carries a "coming soon" notice for a Manny Pay Wallet, described as a digital wallet and remittance app for sending and receiving cash, paying bills, loading prepaid, and transferring funds between the United States and the Philippines — a notable widening of scope for a wallet that launched as a domestic payments app. No exact launch date has been given beyond "next month."

The company has not yet explained how the new app relates to the Traxion Pay transition — whether November 10 ends the existing e-wallet for good or is one step in a larger restructuring. Until it does, the only date that matters to users is the one already on the advisory.
