If you have been holding out on a REDMAGIC 11 Pro, which Philippine retailer Kimstore currently lists from ₱53,460, its successor has just launched in China at CNY 6,999 (around ₱66,000) for the base 12GB/256GB model, about 23 percent more than last year's starting price. The REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ is the first phone in the line to pair Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 with a dual-loop liquid-cooling system, and it carries an 8,400mAh battery and a 185Hz screen. There is no Philippine price or date yet. REDMAGIC's own global site says the international version, renamed the REDMAGIC 12 Pro, gets its pricing and availability on November 3, and that is the date that decides what Filipino gamers will actually pay.
What REDMAGIC announced
The 12 Pro+ was unveiled in China on October 15, according to Wazzup Tech PH, and GSMArena's report lays out the hardware in detail. The headline parts:
- Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, Qualcomm's higher-binned (faster-tested) version of its new flagship chip, built on a 2nm process with prime cores reaching up to 5GHz, per REDMAGIC's own announcement post. It is paired with REDMAGIC's in-house RedCore R5 gaming chip, which handles ray tracing, 2K upscaling and frame interpolation.
- Memory and storage: up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.
- Display: a 6.85-inch 1216 x 2688 AMOLED that reaches 1,900 nits in high-brightness mode and 5,000 nits at its peak, covered by Gorilla Glass 7i. The 16MP selfie camera and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader both sit under the panel, so there is no notch or hole, and the bezel measures 0.96mm for a 96.3 percent screen-to-body ratio.
- Battery: 8,400mAh, with 120W wired charging, 80W wireless charging, bypass charging (which powers the phone directly from the charger while gaming instead of cycling the battery) and 22.5W reverse wired charging.
- Cooling: a dual-loop liquid-cooling system that surrounds both the processor and the battery. GSMArena reports the micro-pump is 85 percent more powerful than the 11 Pro+'s while drawing as little as 20mW, and it works alongside a 25,500 RPM fan rated IPX8 for water resistance.
- Cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS and 8K video, plus a 50MP ultrawide.
- Build: 8.55mm thick, 223 grams, Gorilla Glass 7i on the back, and IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.
- Extras: 700Hz capacitive shoulder triggers, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, an X-axis linear motor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, an IR blaster and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port with DisplayPort output. It ships with RedMagic OS 12 on Android 17.
The RGB lighting sits on the circular cooling module on the back and can react to what is happening in a game. REDMAGIC calls the dual-loop system the first mass-produced one of its kind in a phone, and its launch microsite adds an upgraded turbo fan, a vapor chamber and Liquid Metal 4.0 to the stack.
REDMAGIC 12 Pro+ price in China
| Variant | China price | In pesos (approx.) |
|---|
| 12GB / 256GB | CNY 6,999 | around ₱66,000 |
| 16GB / 512GB | CNY 7,999 | around ₱75,400 |
| 16GB / 1TB | CNY 8,999 | around ₱84,800 |
The peso figures use Wise's mid-market rate of about ₱9.43 per yuan on October 18 and are our conversions, not prices anyone is charging in the Philippines. REDMAGIC also showed a forged-carbon Golden Saga edition with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage but has not priced it. Launch colours are Nightfreeze and Subzero, with Skyfrost due later this year.
The jump from last year is real. NoypiGeeks reported that the 11 Pro+ started at CNY 5,699 (around ₱53,700 at today's rate) for the same 12GB/256GB configuration in October 2025. By our math, the 12 Pro+ costs CNY 1,300 more, roughly ₱12,300 or 23 percent, for a battery that is 12 percent bigger (8,400mAh versus 7,500mAh), the newer chip and the new cooling loop.
The 185Hz figure comes with a condition
REDMAGIC describes the screen as the industry's first 185Hz under-display true full-screen display. Read the fine print the same way GSMArena does: the RedCore R5 chip delivers frame interpolation up to 185Hz in supported games, so the figure depends on a game being on REDMAGIC's list, not on every title suddenly running at 185 frames per second. None of the coverage so far names how many games qualify, and as of publication there is no independent review that has measured sustained performance, fan noise or battery life on the 12 Pro+. Treat the cooling and battery numbers as manufacturer claims until reviewers test them.
Global launch on November 3, under a new name
REDMAGIC's global site is running a countdown to an announcement on November 3 at 7 AM EST, which is 8 PM on November 3 in Manila. The page uses the name REDMAGIC 12 Pro, without the plus sign, and Wazzup Tech PH notes that the company has not confirmed whether the global model's specs match the Chinese one. The microsite is also collecting sign-ups for a prize draw that includes a free phone. REDMAGIC's October 16 blog post adds that exact specifications, design details, software features and availability will all wait for that announcement.
Where this leaves Philippine buyers
No Philippine price, date or retailer has been announced for the 12 Pro, and none of the local outlets covering the launch, Manila Shaker and NoypiGeeks among them, has one either. The peso figures you will see in their coverage are conversions of the China price.
What the Philippines does have is an official REDMAGIC channel with a track record. The REDMAGIC 10 Pro launched here in March 2025 at ₱49,999 for 12GB/256GB and ₱59,999 for 16GB/512GB, sold through nubia's official Shopee and Lazada stores and select physical stores, as NoypiGeeks reported at the time. nubia, REDMAGIC's parent brand, runs concept stores at SM North EDSA and SM Bacoor and kiosks in SM malls from Caloocan to Bacolod, per Walastech's list, and it launched the nubia Air Pro in the Philippines in September. The brand is set up to sell the 12 Pro here; what is missing is the decision and the price.
For context on what a flagship costs locally right now, here is what we saw during research:
| Phone (as sold in PH) | Chip | Price seen | Where / when |
|---|
| REDMAGIC 11 Pro, 12GB/256GB | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | ₱53,460 pre-order (₱58,999 regular) | Kimstore listing, October 18, 2026 |
| REDMAGIC 10 Pro, 12GB/256GB | Snapdragon 8 Elite | ₱49,999 official launch price | nubia official stores, March 2025 |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, 256GB | Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 | ₱96,990 | Samsung PH, after the October price increase |
| REDMAGIC 12 Pro+, 12GB/256GB | Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 | CNY 6,999 (around ₱66,000), China only | Not sold in PH |
If you mainly play Mobile Legends, Call of Duty Mobile or Genshin Impact and want the fan and the 3.5mm jack, the 11 Pro at ₱53,460 already has the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and liquid cooling, and its price is more likely to fall than rise once the 12 Pro is announced. If the 185Hz panel, the under-display camera and the 8,400mAh battery are the reasons you are buying, there is nothing to buy in the Philippines yet, and the only units that exist are the China-market model.
What to do before November 3
- Do not pay import markups on the China model. The global 12 Pro is three weeks away, and REDMAGIC has not confirmed that it will match the China version's specs, so a grey-import 12 Pro+ bought today may not be the phone that lands here.
- Watch nubia's official Shopee and Lazada stores, the channels that carried the 10 Pro at launch, for any Philippine listing after the November 3 reveal.
- Sign up on REDMAGIC's global launch page if you want the announcement email and a place in the prize draw; the page only asks for an email address and consent to marketing messages.
- Track the 11 Pro's price. Kimstore's ₱53,460 pre-order price is already below its ₱58,999 regular price, and a successor announcement is the usual trigger for further cuts.
We will update this story when REDMAGIC publishes global pricing on November 3 and if nubia Philippines confirms a local launch.
