Smart Communications and TNT launched the LiveSmart app on September 18, folding load purchases, bill payments, and promo management into a single platform — and sweetening the move with 5% cashback and free access to an AI workspace that bundles several of the world's major AI models.

The app is available now on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and it is open to Smart and TNT subscribers on both prepaid and postpaid, with some features usable even by people on other networks.

What the app does

LiveSmart is Smart's answer to a simple problem: load, bills, promos, and rewards have lived in different places. In one app, users can now:

  • Buy load for Smart and TNT numbers
  • Pay Smart Postpaid bills
  • Register promos, including app-exclusive ones
  • Earn 5% cashback when buying load or paying a Smart Postpaid bill through the app

At launch, the app carries exclusive discounted offers: Smart Prepaid's Power All 109 and TNT's Saya All 109 — normally ₱109 promos — are both priced at ₱105 in the app for a limited time.

"With the rising cost of everyday expenses, Filipinos are becoming more deliberate about where they spend and how they can get more value from every peso," said Lloyd R. Manaloto, first vice president and officer-in-charge for Smart. He added that the app is "designed to help make those everyday decisions a little smarter" by putting loading, bill payments, and exclusive savings in one place.

AI.Smart: one login, several AI models

The more unusual inclusion is AI.Smart, a browser-based AI workspace that LiveSmart users get free limited-time access to when they register with a Smart or TNT number. Rather than being built on a single chatbot, AI.Smart gives users access to multiple models: AWS Nova, ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, and Thinking Machines.

For many prepaid users, paid AI subscriptions are out of reach — the major chatbots' paid tiers each cost more than a month of mobile data. Bundling multi-model access into a free telco app is a notable way for those users to try premium-grade AI tools without a separate subscription, at least while the free-access period lasts. Smart has not said how long that period will run.

Is the cashback worth switching for?

The 5% cashback applies to load purchases and Smart Postpaid bill payments made through the app. A subscriber who loads ₱1,000 a month would get ₱50 back monthly — ₱600 a year — simply for moving a purchase they already make into a different app. For heavier postpaid plans the math scales up accordingly. That fits a pattern in Smart's recent consumer pushes, like the discounted Smart 5G Max Home WiFi at ₱2,995 and its Apple Watch postpaid plans from ₱692 a month: use price cuts and perks to pull subscribers deeper into Smart's own channels.

The usual fine print applies — cashback terms, promo pricing, and the AI.Smart free period are all launch offers, so check the current terms in the app before assuming a rate. But for Smart and TNT users who already buy load or pay bills digitally, this is one of the rare app launches that pays you a concrete amount for showing up.
