Sending ₱10 of load to a TNT or Smart number costs you ₱11 and takes one text to 808, and TNT lists 3 days of validity for that amount. That is the short version of how to pasaload on TNT and Smart. The rest of this guide covers the Smart App method, which amounts last longest and the daily limits.

The steps and rules below come from two official pages: TNT's own Pasa Load FAQ and Smart's help article on Pasaload for prepaid. TNT is a Smart brand, and both use the same 808 number.

Who can send and receive Pasa Load

Pasa Load moves regular load from your account to another prepaid number. According to TNT's FAQ, these subscribers can send it, through the Smart App or by text, as long as they have enough regular load:

  • Smart Prepaid and TNT
  • Smart Bro Prepaid and PLDT Prepaid Home WiFi
  • Smart Postpaid, Smart Signature and Smart Bro Postpaid

The receiving number must be TNT, Smart Prepaid, Smart Bro Prepaid or PLDT Prepaid Home WiFi. A prepaid user cannot send load to a postpaid account. Globe, TM and DITO numbers are not on TNT's list of recipients.

Two more rules from the same page:

  • Load that someone passed to you cannot be passed on again.
  • If your regular load is too low, you get a notice that the transfer failed for lack of balance.

Paano mag pasaload sa TNT at Smart?

The quickest way is a single text. Smart's prepaid help article gives the format:

  1. Type PASALOAD, a space, the recipient's 11-digit mobile number, a space, then the amount.
  2. Send it to 808. Example: PASALOAD 09191234567 2

Either way, you and the person you sent load to both get a text once it goes through. Smart says the amount sent plus a ₱1 SMS fee is deducted from your account.

To pass a promo instead of plain load, TNT's page says to pick the promo, note its keyword, and text PASALOAD <mobile number> <KEYWORD> to 808.

How to pasaload in the Smart App

TNT's page also lays out the steps in the Smart App:

  1. Open the Smart App and tap the Pasa tab at the bottom.
  2. Choose or type the mobile number you are sending to.
  3. Choose what you want to send.
  4. Choose the amount.
  5. Check the details and tap Confirm.
  6. Type in the OTP (one-time password) that arrives by text, then tap Proceed.
  7. Wait for the pop-up confirmation.

That OTP is for you to type into the app yourself. If someone calls or texts asking you to read a code to them, treat it as a scam and report the text through the official channels.

Which amounts you can send, and how long each lasts

The text method and the app offer different amounts. Here is what TNT's FAQ lists, with the validity TNT gives for each amount:

AmountVia text (808)Via Smart AppValidity
₱2, ₱5, ₱10YesNo3 days
₱15, ₱20, ₱30YesNo15 days
₱50NoYes30 days
₱60YesNo30 days
₱100YesYes30 days
₱200YesYes60 days
₱300, ₱500, ₱1,000NoYes60 days

TNT's app table marks ₱50, ₱300, ₱500 and ₱1,000 with an asterisk but does not explain it on the page.

The validity steps matter more than the amounts. By our math from that table, ₱15 buys five times the shelf life of ₱10: 15 days instead of 3, for ₱5 more. If the person you are helping will not use the load right away, ₱15 is the better small send.

What it costs you: the ₱1 fee in practice

Every successful transfer adds ₱1. TNT says the fee comes out of your regular load on prepaid, or is added to your bill on postpaid. The flat fee hurts most on small sends:

  • ₱2 sent costs you ₱3, so the fee is half the amount you sent.
  • ₱10 sent costs you ₱11.
  • ₱100 sent costs you ₱101, so the fee is just 1%.

If you top up the same person often, one bigger transfer saves you the repeat fees. By our math, four ₱5 sends cost ₱24 in total, while one ₱20 send costs ₱21 and has 15 days of validity instead of 3.

Daily limits on sending and receiving

TNT caps Pasa Load at ₱1,000 a day per sending account. The person receiving it can also only take in up to ₱1,000 a day. By our math, that is five ₱200 texts, or a single ₱1,000 send in the app. A family where several relatives send load to one student on the same day can hit the receiving cap even if no one sender does.

Sharing GigaPoints instead of load

You can pass GigaPoints, the Smart App's rewards points, through Pasa Points in the app. TNT's FAQ sets these rules:

  • At least 5 points per send, and at most 100 points a month sent or received per Smart App account.
  • A ₱1 fee per transfer, so you need at least ₱1 of load.
  • Only the main account user in the Smart App can send points.

Where to get help if a transfer fails

TNT's page lists two hotlines: *888, which it says is toll-free from a mobile, and (02) 8888-1111.
