TECNO's answer, launched September 7, is the CAMON Slim 5G — a 6.39mm smartphone that still carries a 6,000mAh battery, a 144Hz AMOLED display, and an IP69K durability rating. For a brand whose parent company dominates Philippine smartphone shelves, it is a launch worth watching even before a local price exists.
The trick: big battery in a thin frame
At 6.39mm, the CAMON Slim 5G is among the thinnest phones announced this year, and TECNO's official launch release leans hard on the design story, describing a body inspired by "ballet dancer grace" and automotive lines. The engineering story is the 6,000mAh cell inside it — a capacity normally found in phones half again as thick. Ultra-thin rivals in this class have typically settled for batteries in the 3,000-4,000mAh range.
Despite the profile, durability is not the sacrifice either: the phone carries IP69K/IP69/IP68/IP66 ratings (protection against dust, immersion, and high-pressure hot-water jets) plus MIL-STD-810 certification against drops and shocks.
Display, chip, and cameras

Five art-school colorways and a magnetic badge
TECNO is selling the CAMON Slim 5G as much on finish as on specs. The five launch colors read like a museum gift shop: Burgundy Red in matte fiberglass, Matisse Black with fluorescent green accents, Van Gogh Blue with a swirling gradient coat, Rebel Pink, and Neo Mondrian — a photochromic white panel that reveals a Mondrian-style color grid only under ultraviolet light, meaning the design literally appears when you step into sunlight.
There is also an optional Mag Badge accessory — a small magnetic AMOLED display that snaps onto the phone's back for notifications and customization.
When is it coming to the Philippines?
TECNO says the phone is rolling out across markets, with pricing and availability to be announced locally — no Philippine SRP or release date has been confirmed yet. The context makes a local release likely rather than speculative: TECNO's parent Transsion holds about a third of the Philippine smartphone market, and TECNO has kept its Philippine lineup fresh, most recently with the budget Spark Go 3 Pro.
