Sony's WH-1000XM6 Hello Kitty collaboration is coming to the Philippines on October 16, pairing the company's flagship noise-cancelling headphones with Sanrio's most famous character. The Hello Kitty Collaboration package costs ₱4,999 on top of the WH-1000XM6's ₱27,999 price, and it will be sold at three Sony Centre branches: SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, and Glorietta by Ayala Malls.
It is part of Sony's first Hello Kitty collaboration, a limited-edition collection that regionally spans the Xperia 10 VIII smartphone and three wireless headphones — the WH-1000XM6, WH-CH730N, and WH-CH530 — as detailed in GadgetMatch's coverage of the collection. For the Philippines, the WH-1000XM6 package is the confirmed headliner; local pricing for the other products in the collection has not been announced.
What the Hello Kitty package adds
The headphones themselves keep Sony's standard design — no pink repaint here. The collaboration comes as an accessory package: in Singapore, where the collection is also sold, it includes a Sony Store-exclusive Hello Kitty pouch and a Hello Kitty tote bag alongside the headphones. Sony has not itemized the Philippine package's contents, so check with the Sony Centre branches on launch day if the pouch and tote are what you are after. Quantities for the collection are limited in every market where it has been announced.
The WH-1000XM6 can be had in Black, Silver, Midnight Blue, Sand Pink, and Sandstone, with Sand Pink the natural match for the character branding.
The same flagship headphones underneath
The collaboration does not change the hardware, which remains Sony's current flagship over-ear:
- 30mm drivers with active noise cancellation, an Adaptive NC Optimizer, and Ambient Sound Mode
- LDAC and LC3 codec support alongside SBC and AAC, plus DSEE Extreme upscaling
- Bluetooth 5.3 with multipoint connection for two devices at once
- Up to 30 hours of battery with noise cancelling on, up to 40 hours with it off, and a full charge in about 3.5 hours
- A light 254-gram build, Quick Attention mode, Auto Ambient Sound, and atmospheric pressure optimization for flights
The retail box keeps the usual carrying case, connection cable, and USB cable.
How the Philippine offer compares in the region
Taken together, the Philippine package works out to ₱32,998 for the headphones plus the Hello Kitty extras. Elsewhere in the region, the same collaboration sells for SGD 609 (around ₱29,900) through Sony Store channels in Singapore, RM 2,449 (around ₱37,700) at three Sony Store locations in Malaysia, and NT$14,400 (around ₱28,400) in Taiwan, where sales start in mid-October. Exchange-rate conversions are approximate and ignore tax differences, but the Philippine total sits in the middle of the regional spread — cheaper than Malaysia's bundle, a bit above Singapore's and Taiwan's.
Worth it for Filipino buyers?
As always with character collaborations, the ₱4,999 premium buys merchandise and scarcity, not sound. The WH-1000XM6 at ₱27,999 is the actual product — one of the strongest noise-cancelling headphones sold in the Philippines right now, in a market that has gotten busier at the premium end; Nothing's Headphone (1) Pro recently landed locally at ₱25,490 with its own celebrity pull. If the Sanrio extras matter to you or someone you are gifting, the limited quantities and three-store availability make October 16 a date to mark; if they do not, the standard WH-1000XM6 delivers the identical listening experience for ₱4,999 less.
