Apple's first foldable iPhone costs ₱159,990 to ₱254,990 in the Philippines, and pre-orders open today, October 16, at 8:00 PM. The iPhone Duo then goes on sale — and starts arriving at buyers' doors — on October 30, so the real decision is whether a first-generation Apple foldable is worth roughly one and a half iPhone 18 Pros.

iPhone Duo prices in the Philippines

These are the official prices on Apple's Philippine store, inclusive of taxes, with free delivery on all orders:

StoragePrice
256GB₱159,990
512GB₱175,990
1TB₱207,990
2TB₱254,990

The same ladder has been listed on Apple's local site since September, as GadgetMatch's pricing report recorded, but the October 30 availability date is new. The Duo comes in two colors: Star White and Night Sky.

How and when to pre-order

Pre-orders open at 8:00 PM PHT on October 16 through the Apple Philippines website and the Apple Store app, with AppleCare protection plans offered at checkout, a detail first reported locally by JAM Online. Apple's store page lists availability on October 30.

The timing matches what Apple signaled at launch: when iPhone 18 Pro pre-orders opened on October 2, the Philippines was already on the list of countries getting the Duo in the next wave. No Philippine carrier — Globe, Smart, or DITO — has announced an iPhone Duo postpaid plan as of publication, so Apple's own channels are the confirmed route for now.

What ₱159,990 buys

The Duo opens like a book into a 7.58-inch flexible OLED display, with a 5.4-inch cover screen outside — which, per JAM Online's report, gives about 90% of the usable screen area of an iPhone 18 Pro when closed. Inside is Apple's A20 Pro chip running iOS 27, with a dual-battery design that splits power across both halves of the phone.

Cameras are a 48MP Fusion main sensor with a 2x optical-quality crop, a 48MP Fusion ultra-wide, a Center Stage front camera, and an under-display FaceTime camera beneath the folding screen. Despite the hinge, the Duo keeps an IP68 rating — water resistance to six meters for 30 minutes. Apple also sells MagSafe-compatible cases for it, including a kickstand Folio, both supporting 25W Qi2 wireless charging.

How it compares with foldables already sold here

The Duo enters a market where book-style foldables cost far less. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold7 launched in the Philippines at ₱112,990 for the 256GB model in July 2025 — ₱47,000 below the Duo's entry price, and street prices have moved since. At the other end, HUAWEI's tri-fold Mate XT 2 still has no official Philippine price. What the Duo uniquely offers is iOS: for anyone locked into Apple's ecosystem, there has been no foldable option at any price until now.

The math before you tap Buy

By our math, the 256GB Duo at ₱159,990 works out to about ₱6,700 a month spread over 24 months — simple division of Apple's price, not a financing offer, since Apple's PH store page currently shows no installment or trade-in option for the Duo. For comparison, Home Credit's zero-down iPhone 18 Pro plan came out to ₱137 a day, or roughly ₱4,100 a month, for a ₱94,990 phone.

If you want the Duo on day one, pre-ordering tonight is the only way to be in the October 30 delivery batch. If you can wait, carrier bundles and reseller offers have historically followed Apple's own launch by weeks — and a first-generation folding iPhone is exactly the kind of device where early reviews, due before October 30, are worth reading first.
