DITO Telecommunity has started selling the DITO Gaming Modem, a Wi-Fi 6 home modem built around its 5G network and aimed at gamers. The official price is ₱8,990, but DITO is offering it at an early-bird price of ₱6,990 on its product page. The starter kit comes with unlimited 5G data valid for 15 days and ₱250 in Steam Wallet credits. DITO calls it the first prepaid gaming modem in the Philippines.
The unit is a limited edition with Team Liquid graphics and branding, a nod to DITO's sponsorship of the esports team. Reports on the listing first appeared on September 5, alongside a new family bundle called DITO One.
DITO Gaming Modem price, inclusions, and specs
Here is what DITO lists for the device and its bundle:
- Price: ₱8,990 official, ₱6,990 early-bird (limited edition).
- Starter inclusions: unlimited 5G valid for 15 days, plus ₱250 in Steam Wallet credits.
- Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6, speeds of up to 500Mbps depending on network conditions, and support for up to 40 connected devices at the same time.
- Wired option: a LAN (Ethernet) port for gaming PCs and consoles, where supported by the modem. DITO says PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch consoles can connect over Wi-Fi or LAN.
- Gaming features: Game Turbo, Network Priority (DITO gives the modem's traffic priority routing to help lower latency, the delay between your input and the game's response), and AI Management that DITO says helps optimize network performance.
- Monthly reload: ₱1,490 for 30 days of unlimited 5G with network priority, plus ₱50 in Steam Wallet credits with every eligible reload.
- Where to buy: DITO Experience Stores and TikTok Shop, with more channels to be announced. ManilaShaker's report also points to DITO's online store.
Some fine print matters. The modem only works in areas with DITO 5G coverage, so check the coverage map before buying. The Steam Wallet credits are redeemed through the DITO app, cannot be exchanged for cash, are non-transferable, and are available only during the promo period while supplies last. When a promo expires, internet service is suspended until you register for another eligible reload.
DITO Gaming Modem vs. WoWFi Ultra, DITO One, and Smart's 5G offer
The Gaming Modem sits at the top of DITO's prepaid home lineup. DITO's own WoWFi Ultra kit is the closest comparison, since both are 5G devices rated at up to 500Mbps.

The math is simple. At the early-bird price, the Gaming Modem costs ₱2,000 more than the WoWFi Ultra kit and comes with half as many days of unlimited data. Its monthly reload is ₱400 more than WoWFi Ultra's ₱1,090 unlimited 5G promo. What the extra money buys is the priority routing, Game Turbo, the wired LAN option, the Team Liquid design, and the Steam credits, which add up to ₱250 upfront plus ₱50 a month if you reload every month.
DITO One, the other new bundle, is a different product. It pairs a slower home WiFi device (up to 100Mbps) with four DITO SIMs that share 50GB of mobile data, plus 30 days of Prime Video and Blast TV, for ₱2,490. Its ₱1,290 monthly reload covers unlimited home WiFi data, 50GB of shared mobile data, and both streaming subscriptions. The bundle is available until December 31.
Why Team Liquid is on the box
DITO has sponsored Team Liquid PH, one of the country's most successful Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams, and renewed the partnership in June 2026 after the team won its third straight MPL Philippines title. The Gaming Modem's branding extends that deal into a consumer product, and DITO's gaming hub also carries esports content and its 8G Podcast series.
Is it worth ₱6,990 for a Filipino gamer?
The Gaming Modem makes the most sense for prepaid users who live in DITO 5G coverage and cannot get fiber, or who want a no-contract setup for a console or gaming PC. Fixed wireless 5G can be good enough for online games, but it is not fiber. DITO's own FAQ is honest about this: it says actual latency depends on your location, network conditions, the game server, and the number of connected devices, and that download speed alone does not decide gaming performance.
As of publication, no independent lab test or review of the modem's priority routing has been published, so treat the low-latency claim as a marketing promise until someone measures it. If you are mostly streaming and browsing, the cheaper WoWFi Ultra kit gives you the same 500Mbps 5G ceiling for ₱2,000 less. If you play competitive titles on a console and want the LAN port and priority routing, the early-bird price is the time to decide, since DITO has not said how long the ₱6,990 offer will last.
