BOOX Go 6 Gen II Adds Stylus Support and More RAM to Its Pocketable Six-Inch E-Reader

The BOOX Go 6 Gen II is built around one key new capability: it now works with the InkSense Plus stylus. The pen — sold separately for $42 — brings 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity to the 6-inch E Ink display, enabling handwriting, annotations, and note-taking directly on screen. A native notes app ships preinstalled, so it's ready to use without hunting through the Play Store.

Beyond the pen support, the main hardware update is a bump from 2GB to 3GB of RAM. BOOX kept the same Qualcomm octa-core 2.0GHz processor and 32GB of storage (expandable via microSD), but the extra memory should meaningfully improve page-turn responsiveness and app switching. The 6-inch HD E Ink panel (300 PPI) carries over intact, with adjustable warm and cold front lighting for reading in different environments.

The device runs Android 11 with the full Google Play Store, making it compatible with Kindle, Libby, Audible, and most reading or note-taking apps. At 6.8mm thick and approximately 160 grams, it fits inside a standard jacket pocket — a rarity for a device with this feature set. Battery life is rated at several days of typical use, which is characteristic of E Ink's low power consumption during static display.

Pre-orders opened June 11 at $189 (including a magnetic case); standard retail units began shipping around June 17 at $199.99. A bundle with the InkSense Plus stylus is available at $232.99. Four colors are offered: Plum, Stone, Shell, and Custard.
