Smart has opened pre-orders for the HUAWEI Pura 90s Series in the Philippines, giving postpaid subscribers a way to get HUAWEI's new camera flagships on installment — from ₱1,629 a month — with a bundle of freebies on top. Pre-orders run until August 19 through the Smart Online Store and Smart Stores nationwide, ahead of the phones' retail availability.

Both phones are offered under Smart's All-New Postpaid Plans+ 999 and up, GizGuide reports, with the device paid either in full or over 24 months at 0% interest through participating credit cards:

Plans+ 999 subscriptions come with UNLI App Bundles, unlimited 5G for 12 months in 5G-covered areas, and Open-Access Data. The series is also available to Smart Infinity members through Infinity Plan 5000 and Plan 8000.

What you are getting in the hardware
The Pura 90s Pro Max is the photography flagship of the pair. Its quad camera is led by a 200MP telephoto with an unusually large sensor and up to 20x zoom, joined by a 6.9-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED display — LTPO lets the screen drop its refresh rate to save power — plus 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a 6,000mAh battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging. Colors include Orange Ocean, Blush Gold, Blaze Purple, and Graphite Black.
The smaller Pura 90s Pro carries a 50MP main camera and 50MP telephoto on a 6.6-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED, with the same Kirin 9030S chip and 6,000mAh battery, charging at 66W wired and 50W wireless. It comes in 256GB and 512GB versions and in playful colorways such as Guava Soda, Orange Soda, Coconut White, and Mulberry Black. Both phones ship with HUAWEI's AI camera tools, including AI Composition 3.0, AI Glare Removal, and Object Relocation, along with the Celia assistant.
How this fits the local launch timeline
The carrier channel is the second wave of the series' Philippine rollout: HUAWEI itself opened retail pre-orders earlier, with the series' Philippine launch set for August 20. The Pura 90s generation follows the Pura 90 series that went global in July, keeping HUAWEI's 200MP periscope camera push going.
For buyers deciding between channels: the Smart route makes sense if you are due for a postpaid upgrade anyway, since the 24-month 0% installment spreads out the device cost on top of a plan you would be paying for regardless, and the bundled Watch Fit 4 Pro and Care+ coverage sweeten it further. Cash buyers who do not want a plan can simply wait for open retail availability from August 20. Either way, the pre-order freebie window closes on August 19.
One thing to note before committing: like other recent HUAWEI flagships, the Pura 90s series runs on HUAWEI's Kirin silicon and its own software ecosystem, so it is worth checking that the apps you rely on daily are available for it before locking in a 24-month plan.
