The short version: Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is free to try this weekend. A 72-hour open beta for the Marvel tag-team fighting game runs from July 24 to July 26, 2026, and you can download it on PlayStation 5, Steam, or the Epic Games Store with no sign-up and no PlayStation Plus needed, PlayStation confirmed.
Marvel Tokon is a team-based fighting game built by Arc System Works, the studio behind Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ, in partnership with Marvel Games and PlayStation Studios. Teams of characters tag in and out during a fight, a format fans of Arc System Works' past games will recognize. The full game launches on August 6, 2026.

The beta opens July 24 at 12 a.m. Pacific time, which is 3 p.m. Philippine time on July 24, and runs for 72 hours. Pre-loads go live two hours before the servers open, so you can be ready the moment it starts, Game Informer reports.

Why this beta is worth a look for Filipino players
A free weekend beta is the low-risk way for Philippine fighting-game fans to test Marvel Tokon before spending on it: no PS Plus, no sign-up, and it runs on both PS5 and PC. The 3 p.m. Philippine time start on July 24 is convenient, and the built-in tutorial and training modes make it friendly for newcomers, not only tournament players. If you have the storage space free, the pre-load window means you can jump in as soon as the servers open, and the three-day run gives you the weekend to decide whether the full game is worth your money.
