realme launched the P4R 5G in India on June 16, 2026, putting one of the largest batteries in the mid-range segment into a surprisingly thin package. The 8,000mAh cell is housed in a body measuring just 8.8mm thick and weighing 224 grams — numbers that challenge the assumption that big-battery phones have to feel like bricks.
The phone runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, an octa-core 5G chip clocked at 2.4GHz paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Display is a 6.81-inch IPS panel at HD+ resolution (1570×720), with a 144Hz refresh rate and 1200-nit peak brightness — solid specs for the price, though the HD+ resolution will be a sticking point for some. Storage uses UFS 2.2, available in 128GB or 256GB, and is not expandable via microSD.
realme claims the P4R 5G can last up to three days on a single charge under typical use, citing 26 hours of continuous YouTube playback, 170 hours of Spotify streaming, and 23 hours of navigation via GPS. Charging is handled by a 45W wired adapter, with 27W reverse charging included — a useful feature at this price tier. The phone also supports all-scenario bypass charging to reduce heat buildup during extended gaming or charging sessions.
