It is a big, cheap, LTE-equipped tablet — the kind that usually gets bought for schoolwork, streaming, and a second screen at home rather than for raw speed.

The rollout is staggered across channels, according to GizGuide: TikTok Shop carried the discounted units from July 27 to 30, Shopee opens on July 31, and Lazada plus physical retail stores follow from August 1.
The screen is where the money went
The panel is an 11-inch IPS LCD at 2560 x 1600 — TECNO's "2.5K" — which works out to about 274 pixels per inch, with a 90Hz refresh rate and 550 nits of peak brightness. It carries TUV Rheinland certification for flicker-free operation and low blue light emission.
That pixel density is the genuinely unusual part at this price. Tech Patrol calls it the hero spec, and it is the reason text stays crisp on a screen this large. Most tablets in the ₱13,000–₱17,000 bracket in the Philippines settle for 1920 x 1200.
Performance and battery
Inside is a MediaTek Helio G99, an octa-core 6nm chip clocked at 2.2GHz with a Mali-G57 GPU. This is a well-understood mid-range part — dependable for video, browsing, documents, and casual games, but not a gaming chip. Pair it with 6GB or 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB of storage, expandable by microSD card up to 2TB.
The 8,200mAh battery is rated for roughly 12 hours of video playback or browsing, and TECNO includes an 18W charger in the box — modest wattage for a cell this size, so expect a long recharge.

Those two cannot both be right, and TECNO Philippines has not published a clarification. Treat Wi-Fi 5 as the safer assumption until it does.
Is it worth it for a Filipino buyer?
The LTE radio is the deciding feature, not the processor. A Wi-Fi-only tablet is useless in a jeepney, in a classroom without a working connection, or in a barangay where home broadband is not an option — and a tablet that takes a SIM sidesteps all of that. Combined with an 8,200mAh battery and a keyboard case thrown in, the MEGAPAD 2 LTE is aimed squarely at students and work-from-home households rather than at anyone chasing performance.
The caution is the same one that applies to every introductory price in this market: ₱13,266 is a launch promotion, not the shelf price. Once it settles at ₱16,999, the value argument against similarly specced mid-range tablets gets noticeably harder to make.
TECNO has been steadily widening its Philippine line-up beyond phones — the same brand recently pushed thinness on the ultra-slim TECNO CAMON Slim — and this tablet extends that push into a category where local competition at 2.5K resolution is still thin.
