The TECNO CAMON Slim is one of the most striking thin-phone releases of 2026, measuring just 6.39mm at its thinnest point while carrying a 5,600mAh battery — a combination that directly challenges the traditional trade-off between slim design and endurance. Officially announced on June 22, 2026, the CAMON Slim targets consumers who want a genuinely svelte device without sacrificing the battery life that everyday use demands.

Display: 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED

The CAMON Slim sports a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel running at a resolution of 2720 x 1224 pixels (approximately 439 ppi) with a 144Hz refresh rate. That refresh rate on a 1.5K AMOLED at this screen size is competitive across mid-range Android handsets in 2026 and should deliver smooth scrolling and responsive gaming.

Processor and Memory

Under the hood is the MediaTek Helio G200 Ultimate — an octa-core chip optimized for mid-range performance. The CAMON Slim ships with 8GB of RAM and offers two storage tiers: 128GB and 256GB. One important limitation: the Helio G200 is a 4G-only chip, meaning buyers in markets prioritizing 5G coverage will need to look elsewhere.

Camera System: 50MP Sony Lytia 600 and the 354-LED Panel

The rear camera is headlined by a 50MP Sony Lytia 600 (also marketed as LYT-600) sensor on a 1/2-inch optical format — a solid performer for the mid-range. TECNO pairs it with a dedicated flicker sensor designed to reduce banding under artificial lighting, a useful addition for indoor and office environments.

The selfie camera comes in at 32MP.

What makes the camera island genuinely distinctive is the surrounding LED notification panel: 354 individual LEDs offering 55 programmable lighting scenes. These can display notification pulses, ambient animations, charging indicators, and customizable sequences — a design element that goes well beyond the basic ring LEDs found on other phones.

Battery and Thermal Engineering

Fitting a 5,600mAh cell into a 6.39mm body is not trivial. TECNO built a 12-layer cooling system with a stainless steel vapor chamber spanning a total cooling area of 13,828 square millimeters to manage heat during sustained performance and rapid charging. Wired charging tops out at 60W, which should comfortably charge the 5,600mAh cell in under an hour under typical conditions.

Durability: IP68/IP69 and MIL-STD-810

The CAMON Slim carries both IP68 and IP69 dust- and water-resistance certifications — the IP69 rating specifically covering high-pressure water jet resistance at close range, which is uncommon at this price tier. It also meets MIL-STD-810H standards for resilience against drops and environmental stress.

Design and Colors

TECNO put meaningful effort into the CAMON Slim's aesthetics across its five colorways:

  • New Mondrian — a photochromic finish that reveals yellow, green, and cyan block patterns under UV light, inspired by the Dutch De Stijl art movement
  • Van Gogh Blue — features Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night rendered in matte texture across the back panel
  • Prism Black and Jungle Green — carry 3D crystal diamond geometric patterns that shift with viewing angle
  • Burgundy Red — a more classical finish for users who prefer understated color

The body uses a curved unibody construction at 6.39mm.

Software and Long-Term Support

The CAMON Slim ships with HiOS 16.2 built on Android 16, with TECNO committing to three major Android OS upgrades and five years of total software support — a welcome longevity promise in a segment where post-sale support often falls short.

Pricing and Availability

TECNO has not yet announced pricing or availability for any specific market. The June 22 launch was a global unveiling, with regional pricing to be confirmed by local distributors in the coming weeks. No Philippines release date or price has been announced.
